Archery Season The third Saturday in August extending for 21 consecutive days (Aug 15 - Sep 4) and during the general season from the second Saturday in September extending for 31 consecutive days. |
Genereal Season: (Blue Grouse, Ruffed Grouse) The second Saturday in September extending for 31 consecutive days (Sep 12 - Oct 12). |
Daily Bag Limit: 2 grouse per day with the following makup: -up to 2 blue grouse -up to 2 ruffed grouse -or one of each |
Possession Limit: Double the daily bag limit (4 grouse). |
Shoot Time: One half hour before sunrise to sunset. |
Grouse Hunting: To hunt grouse, you must possess a valid California hunting license and an upland game bird stamp. Hunters under the age of 12 may hunt if they have taken and passed a hunter safety course and possess a valid California hunting license. |
Sage Grouse: (Hunting by permit only.) General Season: Sep 12 - 13 Bag Limit: Lassen Zones: 2 per day; 2 per season (by permit only) Inyo/Mono Zones: 1 per day; 1 per season (by permit only) |
