Dove Hunting 2010-2011 Dove Hunting Seasons General and Archery Statewide Seasons: September 1 - 15 and from the second Saturday in November extending for an additional 45 days (Nov 13 - Dec 27). Daily Bag Limit: Daily bag limit is 10 doves per day. (10 white-winged or mourning doves in aggregate; no limit for Eurasian collared-doves (there is no open hunting season on common ground-doves, ruddy ground-doves and Inca doves) Possession Limit: Double the daily bag limit (20 doves). Dove Hunting: To hunt dove, you must possess a valid California hunting license. Hunters under the age of 12 may hunt if they have taken and passed a hunter safety course and possess a valid California hunting license.
